Welcome to the Regio Meeting 2024 in Konstanz
We are pleased to announce the upcoming 37th Rhine-Knee Regional Meeting on the Structural Biology of Biomacromolecules ("Regio Meeting") to be held from 30th September to 2nd October 2024, at the Wolkenstein-Saal of the Kulturzentrum in Konstanz, Germany. Building on a long and established tradition initiated in 1987 by Profs. J.N. Jansonius (Basel), G.E. Schulz (Freiburg), and D. Moras (Strasburg), the meeting aims to provide a platform for the informal and dynamic exchange of ideas, results, methodological protocols and latest developments on macromolecular 3D-structural determination and its ancillary techniques. Particular emphasis is placed on providing a stage to young scientists, who can showcase their work and engage in discussion with both peers and senior researchers.
This year's Regio Meeting will provide particular voice to the following topics:
- Methodological advances in aid of experimental structural elucidation
- Molecules at work: dynamics & conformational changes in molecular function
- Ligand-induced modulation of biological function
- The challenge of heterogeneity: complex macromolecules
- Structural biology in biomedicine and biotechnology
- Molecular communication: interactions, recognition & signalling
Each topic will be led by an opening lecture by an esteemed keynote speaker and will welcome the contributions of our community in the form of additional talks to be selected from abstract submissions.

Participants: Please note that the meeting capacity is limited to 90 attendees. Priority will be given to scientists from the extended Rhine-Knee region. We encourage registering early to secure a place. Registration covers meeting fees, catering at breaks, meals, and hotel accommodation.
