In the years 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2023, 14-day Summer Schools took place in Kosovo. Animals were collected and prepared for a later exhibition. Data was collected and provided to the Kosovo Environment Protection Agency (KEPA).
Since 2016, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has successfully secured Erasmus funding annually, supporting the exchange between the University of Prishtina and the University of Konstanz in the biological field. With a total approval amount of over 200,000 euros, 32 mobilities have been realized so far, and 39 more have been applied for.
In collaboration with the Max Planck Institute for Ornithology, four courses on bird ringing and a course on biostatistics were initiated and conducted in Kosovo. Additionally, two extensive excursions on the amphibians and reptiles of Kosovo were organized. Lecturers from the University of Prishtina participated in various courses on animal preparation in Konstanz and also visited natural history museums in Germany. Subsequently, preparation courses were also offered at the University of Prishtina.
