HiWis needed...
...to study behavior in wild Neotropical mammals
- Research: To understand how species of mammals respond to different types of human footprint/impact (i.e., human presence, roads, forest fragmentation), we used camera trap images to assess activities of mammals across the landscape of Central Panamá.
- Task: We are looking for two students to help annotating camera trap images.
- Methods: Learn to identify Neotropical species and their behaviors from camera trap images. Gain data processing experience.
- Hours: Each student should be available to work 20 hours/month.
- Requirements: Work is done as a team, and independently, so communication and coordination are a plus. ONLY for students interested on learning about mammals.
- Contact: Interested? Please contact Claudio Monteza cmonteza@ab.mpg.de for further details.
